Brandon Marsh started his baseball career in 2016 when he was drafted in the second round, 60th overall, by the Los Angeles Angels straight out of high school. Initially, he had committed to playing collegiate baseball with the Kennesaw State Owls, but he decided to forgo his college commitment and accept a $1.07 million signing bonus with the Angels to start his professional baseball career. Marsh made his Major League Baseball debut on July 18, 2021, when he was called up by the Los Angeles Angels due to injuries to Michael Trout and Justin Upton, leaving the team with limited outfield options. He started the game as the center fielder, but unfortunately, he went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts, and the Angels lost to the Seattle Mariners 7-4.
